Blantyre, The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has sent a warning shot to coaches Leo Mpulula and Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan including Masters Security General Secretary, Zachariah Nyirenda for violating various rules in a game of football.
In a letter released Wednesday, FAM has warned Blantyre United Coach, Leo Mpulula for being found guilty of violating article 57 of the FAM Disciplinary Code insulting match officials and accusing them of being corrupt.
FAM also warned Masters Security Team Manager, Zachariah Nyirenda for insulting a Blantyre United official prior to their last weekend game in which they won 3-0 at Dedza Stadium.
FAM found you guilty of violating article 57 of the FAM Disciplinary Code for insulting a Blantyre United Football Club official in the media, thereby, violating the principles of fair play.
The football mother body has also sent a warming to Nyasa Big Bullets tactician, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan for labeling a match official as biased and incompetent.
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has critically reviewed your media post-match interviews during the 2017 Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal of the second leg match between NMC Big Bullets Football Club and Silver Strikers Football Club on Sunday, 21st May, 2017 at the Mulanje Park, in Mulanje, reads the letter.
It went on to state that the committee found Ramadhan guilty of violating article 57 of the FAM Disciplinary Code as well as article 24.13 of the Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations for openly criticizing a match official labeling him as biased and incompetent thereby violating the principles of fair play.
In conclusion, FAM has sanctioned the three officials with a warning and advised them to desist from uttering similar comments in future or face tough sanctions
