Lilongwe, Malawian music promoter and owner of Fepo Entertainment Felina Sakala will host a talent show for children below 12 years with the aim of unearthing talent and giving a platform to youngsters in the country.
The South African based Sakala, popularly known as Fepo, told Malawi News Agency (Mana) in an interview on Sunday said the event will help to spot and showcase talents which Malawian children between the ages of 4 to 12 years posses.
I want to show up that children in this age bracket in Malawi have the talent which can build them into responsible citizens of our country said Fepo.
She also said the show, which is dubbed Kids got talent show, will give equal opportunity to every kid in order to expose and put most talented kids on the ground.
Children from rural and urban areas will perform together and show their incredible talents she said.
Fepo said the reason they have come up with this show is because most of the shows for unearthing young talent sideline children below 12 years.
Most of the shows mainly hosted by schools, radio and television stations focus on teenagers. The kids got talent show intends to break the barrier, Fepo said.
She added that the event will help to promote kids programs in media houses as well as extra curricula activities in schools.
This event will be held annually and successful talented children will be joining international contests, according to Fepo.
She, therefore, urged parents across the country to register their kids as the registration is already in progress.
The auditions will run from November 27 to December 3 this year.
