‘It feels awesome to be born again’ – Wendy

Blantyre, One of Malawi’s songbirds, Wendy Harawa has said her life since becoming a born again Christian a year ago has been awesome with so much grace from God.

Wendy told Malawi News Agency (Mana) on Thursday that although the path has not been smooth for her, she has managed to scale up to the heights and knows that God is in control.

It’s been awesome with so much grace. As you might be aware, I recently won the Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards in Kenya. It is an indication that I’m in the right place and that God is speaking, too.

I can say it has not been easy because my spiritual parents, Prophetess Mary Bushiri and Major 1 have been very supportive all through and my church Enlightened Christian Gathering also made things easy for me, Wendy said.

Meanwhile, the artist is set to launch her debut gospel album, Mundisunge Ndinu at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) this coming weekend where Nigerian superstar, Jimmy D Psalmist of Mighty Man of War fame is expected to be the guest artist.

Other artists lined up to curtain raise the show on June 1, 2019 include the likes of Patience Namadingo, Onesmus as well as the Great Angels Choir.

I am very much prepared and everything is set. We have great packages and stuff for the nation. There will be so much anointing and talent, this is a must-attend event, Wendy added.

The ten track gospel album comprising soul music was recorded at different studios including Major 1 Records, Ralph Records and Mathumela Studios.

However, it was mixed and mastered at New Movement Studios in South Africa, according to the artist.

Great Angels Choir Music Director, William Zonda said they were well prepared to give out their best at the launch.

We are very much prepared. As you are aware, this is the first show of its kind this year. So, we will try as much as possible to impress everyone, Zonda assured.
