Lilongwe,: The Lilongwe-based gospel musician, KondwaniChirwa, has bounced back with a new worship album titled ‘AkuyesaMwagona’, after being silent for four years in the music business.
Speaking in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana), Chirwa said the new album comprises 11 worship songs which he says are prayers to God. Chirwa said sometimes when things are not working well in life people think that God is not watching.
All songs in my new album are prayers, which encourages people not to give up in prayers when things are not working well in life, as some people think that God is sleeping when they are facing challenges in life, said Chirwa.
He added that the album has been produced by four producers from different studios in Lilongwe which include; One Heart Studios owned by LoydPhiri and Anointed Studio owned by Norman Phiri.
The artist also said 75 per cent of the songs have been produced by Joseph Tembo under his studio- Groove Magic.
Recently, Chirwa launched the album at Mvama CCAP Church in Lilongwe where he received overwhelming response from his fans about the new album.
Elsie MpondaKadzamira, who was the Guest of honour at the launch, pledged K1 million as one way of appreciating the new album, saying the album has shown maturity of the artist.
I have made this pledge because of the ministration of the songs in the album as they bring deliverance and healing. If you are going through bad times, the moment you listen to these songs you feel the peace, this shows spiritual maturity in the artist, she said.
Chirwa said that the coming in of his new album is just the beginning of his ministry in music and pledged to give his fans more worship songs of revelation.
