Masters Security’s SRFA enters second week

Blantyre, The Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) which is sponsored by Masters Security Services enters its second week of competition after it was inaugurated last week in Machinga, Nsanama.

The first week saw 15 goals being scored in all divisions, the premier division and in division one.

Speaking in an interview with the Malawi News Agency (MANA) on the just ended first week, Vice General Secretary of the league Kingsley Simbeyi said it was a competitive week as teams were looking for their first points.

Nchalo came out as the best team of the week as it thrashed Nsanama 6-0 at Nsanama Ground in Machinga.

As the league enters the second week, there are a number of games that have been lined up, with COBBE Barracks facing Bvumbwe United at ZACC Ground. Nyasa United will face MDF Marine at BAT Ground whilst Prison United will battle it out with Mangochi Police at Prison Ground. The White Eagles face Nchalo United at PTS; all games taking place on Saturday.

On Sunday, Nazikambe faces MDF Marine at Chiwembe Ground whilst Jali Rangers face Mangochi Police at Pirimiti Ground among other games.

We expect good football in this second week as teams will be looking for second wins, added Simbeyi.
