Lilongwe: Mitundu Secondary School Catholic Students (MTSSCS) will on November 11, 2018 launch their first CD album titled Ambuye Tikuthokozani
at Mitundu Secondary School Hall.
Speaking in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana), chairlady for Mitundu Catholic Students Organisation, Emilida Joseph said they decided to choose that title as one way of thanking God for being there for them always.
She added that their album encourages people to always thank God for the good things he does to them.
We have many reasons to thank God, having the chance to be at this school is a big blessing from God, also for the gift of life, education as well as our parents who are able to pay our school fees, Joseph said.
The chairlady thanked the patron Mr. Andrew Gwazan for encouraging the students to come up with the album and she also advised other students to take part in different activities as one way of thanking God.
There are many ways to thank God, so as youth we need to join and take part in spreading the Word of God, she said.
Zolemba Criff, secretary for MTSSCS said being students, they manage their time by balancing between school and choir activities. He said they need to praise God so that He should continue blessing them.
The album has 10 songs including, Mother Mary, Yesu wauka, Oyera, Tikugwadirani, Kumwamba kuli Chimwemwe, Anthu Onse.
The album has been recorded at Jonah Studios. The launch is set with help from different well wishers.
Dr. Thabie Chilongo will be the guest of honour while Don Bosco Choir 1 will be the guest choir during the event.
