Blantyre: Malawi Revenue Authority’s ‘Lisiti Langa’ promotion continues to gain momentum as the fourth draw total entry statistics indicate that close to 140 000 people have participated in the promotion so far.

MRA’s Marketing Communications Manager, Wilma Chalulu said they were excited with the number of people entering the promotion with a daily increase which indicated to them that people were now able to demand for Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) receipts once they purchase goods.
One of the aims of this promotion is to enable people to be watchdogs of the businesses out there as there are some shops that prefer not to issue EFD receipts to their customers with an aim of invading remittance of tax.
We believe that with this promotion, people will continue demanding EFD receipts, a development which will promote the use of MRA EFD machines, complementing the job of the inspectors who are on the ground, she viewed,
