Multichoice Malawi in 2018 World Cup launch

Lilongwe: Multichoice Malawi a company that provides DSTV and GOTV packages in the country says it is committed to promoting sporting activities in the country.

Sales and marketing manager for Multichoice Malawi, Chimwemwe Nyirenda made the remarks on Thursday during the official launch of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Ntcheu district.

Nyirenda said as a company they will ensure that people in the country watch all the 64 games during the tournament through DSTV and GOTV channels.

As multichoice we organised the official launch as one way of engaging journalists from Lilongwe and Blantyre through soccer activities and to also involve even people from the rural areas who find it hard to access the channels and watch the games.

“We are also assuring people in the country that Multichoice Malwi through DSTV and GOTV will show all the 64 games, said Nyirenda.

Nyirenda further said not everyone can manage to go to Russia and watch the games, hence his company will provide the platform for sports fans to watch all the games through

the sports channels.

According to nyirenda this will also help reduce crime rate in the

country as many people will be able to watch the games in their homes rather than being found roaming

the streets looking for places to watch the football matches.

During the official launch the company brought together some of the football legends in the

country such as Peterkins Kayira and Chancy Gondwe who were also part of the soccer games in the

district.

Established in 1996 as a locally owned franchise, Multichoice Malawi is run by 60 employees in Blantyre and Lilongwe and supported by a nationwide network of agents and installers.
