NAPHAM, CEWAG roll out nutrition project in Ntchisi

Ntchisi: The National Association for People Living with HIV/AIDS in Malawi (NAPHAM) and the Coalition for the Empowerment of Women and Girls (CEWAG) are jointly implementing a project in Ntchisi focusing on reproductive health and nutrition.

NAPHAM Executive Director, Master Mphande said the project dubbed Capacity Enhancement of Women of Reproductive Age on HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Nutrition will be implemented under the Southern Africa Nutrition Initiative (SANI) with funding from Care- Canada.

He said the project is, among other things, aimed at equipping women of reproductive age living with HIV and their families with adequate knowledge on HIV, nutrition, and sexual and reproductive health.

CEWAG Director of Programmes, Nomonde Sambakunsi said the project, which started in July this year (2018) will end in December, 2019.

According to Sambakunsi, the project will be implemented in Traditional Authority Chilooko’s area in the district.
