Blantyre, A new set of live band equipments by Alex Entertainment is expected to expose Malawian artists on the global scene through live band performances.
In an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) on Wednesday in Blantyre, Alex Mamba, who is the founder of Alex Entertainment and the Managing Director of Hilco, said the live band equipments which have been bought will be beneficial to Hilco and other artists said he decided to buy the equipment to try and put Malawian artists on the international map in the music industry hence opting for live band equipment than playing over CDs.
It means a lot to us at the same time it brings in new challenges on the live band chapter this will mean more training sessions than before. They will need a lot of dedication now, Mamba added.
The Managing Director pointed out that the CD performances which most artists use during shows does not produce the much needed feel of the show and also difficult to connect with the audiences hence the decision of buying the equipment.
We had our first live shows over the weekend in Kasungu and Mponela where our artists performed live, he said.
Alex Entertainment is currently working with the Tuff lions Band and more shows are expected to be lined up this month end.
Apart from Hilco, Alex Entertainment works with young D and The tuff Lions as artists.
