R.P.C. Women visited people healed in remands at Kanengo police

Lilongwe, Women of Mercy (Amayi achifundo) of Kanengo Redeemed Presbyterian Church in area 25C on Thursday visited people held on remand at Kanengo police station.

According to the chairlady of the women from the church, Queen Mtonga their aim was to cheer the remandees considering the fact that they are their neighbors.

As neighbors with the police, we thought of cleaning our houses first before going to other places for the word of God says love others as you love yourself; in addition to that these people most of them don’t have relatives who can come and see them hence we thought of preparing food and visit them, said Mtonga.

Speaking on behalf of the suspects, Aubrey Semu thanked the Women of Mercy from R.P.C. for the good gesture which they have shown to them asking them not to stop their good gesture but rather do the same to others in similar situation like them.

We thank you for the good work you have done to us despite that we have wronged against the laws of Malawi. Its encouraging to note that you steal look at us as your own children by coming to cheer us and give us food, said Semu.
