Blantyre, St Pius and St Patricks Catholic choirs say they geared for the release of their joint album this coming Sunday at ST Pius Great hall in Blantyre.
Speaking to Malawi News Agency on Friday, St Pius Choir Chairperson, Elias Chakuza, said the album, which is titled ‘Tiyende Limodzi’ encourages Malawians to work together towards the development of the nation.
We want to join hands with government and the clergy in emphasizing that it is everyone’s responsibility to play a role in the country’s development, said Chakuza.
He further explained the album is a symbolic example of unity as two choirs from different dioceses have come together and released an outstanding gospel album with the aim of reaching out to people and spreading the good news.
Among the 12 songs in the album are Tiyende Limodzi, Imba Moyo wanga, Ndife anthu ake, Amayi Athu Maria and Tinene za Iye.
The guest choir at this joyous celebration is Limbe Cathedral. Mulanje District Commissioner, Charles Makanga will be the guest of honour at the function.
The launch will be supported by other choirs such as St Cecilia from St Pius Parish and St Anthony Choir from Chinyonga.
