Support for Change Ministry launches book

Zomba: A faith based organization in Zomba, Support for Change Ministry has launched an English translated into Chichewa resource book titled; Kusinthika kwa Chikondi to help local pastors that aspire to advance with their theological education.

Founder for Support for Change Ministry, Apostle Francis Ananda Chipukunya said the translated book was written by George Verwer in Denmark in 1989 under the title Revolution of Love.

The book has been translated into Chichewa to give chance to local pastors that cannot afford to go to theological colleges, Apostle Chipukunya said, adding that the book launch was also one way of sharing Jesus’ love to people who are staying in the rural area.

Chipukunya said the mission of Support for Change Ministry was to train pastors who cannot afford to pay fees at a theological college.

This book can equip aspiring pastors with adequate knowledge on theology, Chipukunya said, adding that Support for Change Ministry is working towards printing thousands of copies in a bid to reach out to more people.

Chipukunya expressed optimism that the newly launched book would prepare upcoming pastors to adequately preach the gospel of Jesus.

Pastor Jailosi Ndalama of Jesus Followers Church commended Support for Change Ministry for coming up with the book of Kusinthika kwa Chikondi, saying the book is relevant as it is all about love.

The book will help us in preaching the word of God because love is what is missing in churches, Pastor Ndalama said. Civil conflicts and family disputes arise when there is no love as such there is need to persistently preach love.

Support for Change Ministry started in 2008 and has graduated many pastors in Malawi with support from 100 Ministries in America.
