The Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service (MSYNS) on Saturday celebrated this year’s 23rd International Youth Day in the Oshana Region.

In a media statement, MSYNS stated that this International Youth Day, celebrated annually on 12 August, is observed under the theme ‘Green skills for youth: Towards a sustainable world’.

“The International Youth Day is a platform to honour the immense potential of our youth and to acknowledge the challenges they encounter,” the statement read.

The celebrations for the month of August 2023 in the Oshana Region will entail a host of activities aimed at building awareness of green skills and climate change, capacitating the youth and youth workers, and fostering creative thinking for a better future, according to MSYNS.
