Two people were arrested after they allegedly tried to offer a bribe of N.dollars 50 000 to an official of the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) in Windhoek.

The man was arrested at the NamRA offices on Monday, while the woman was arrested at the premises of the Anti-Corruption Commission the next day.
“The bribe was intended to influence the release of N.dollar 6 million belonging to a trading entity (whose name is currently withheld), which has been subject to intervention (freezing),” it said.
